MURRAY COUNTY'S ELECTED OFFICIALS
1832-1986

While researching Murray County Heritage, the History Committee searched countless documents and records upon which to base this compilation. Unfortunately some records are missing. The Committee decided also to use the relevant information from Charles H. Shriner's History of Murray County, published in 1911. Even so, some gaps remain in these lists. A few entries have a question mark beside the years of service, indicating some degree of uncertainty.

Because dates of service were not available for many of the terms of office, the History Committee decided to create the lists in alphabetical order.

The following lists are from Murray County Heritage, published by the Whitfield-Murray Historical Society in 1987, and are used here by permission.
