MURRAY QUILTS

Checkerboard Design, made entirely from feed-sacks. The quilt squares were made from sacks that were dyed at home. The back (lining) of the quilt still shows part of the printing that remained after bleaching. Even so, the quilt was sewed entirely by hand. From around 1940. Owned by Herman McDaniel.
