MARTIN VAN BUREN WAS PRESIDENT 1837-1841.

FIRST LADY
SARAH VAN BUREN (President's daughter-in-law).

Born Sarah Angelica Singleton, she married a son of Martin Van Buren.

By the time Van Buren became President, his wife had died, his daughter-in-law served as First Lady.

She was First Lady from 1838 to 1841.
