Pay for Dinner at Pines With Scrap for War, 1941

From The Chatsworth Times
June 25, 1942

We'll pay for your discarded rubber article with anything you want to order in our dining room at the rate of one cent a pound for the rubber. Standard Oil Company trucks will collect the rubber from us.

This is our way of urging you to search your house and premises for every piece of old rubber you can find. There are worn out fruit jar bans, hot water bottles, girdles, etc., in every home in Murray county. Dig them up, bring the collection to The Pines and have a real food thrill without spending a penny.
