(Placed on the National Register of Historic Places June 21, 2004) SCHOOL YEAR 1960-61 MCHS students, the first time ever, dedicated their annual to a fellow student. On September 30, 1960, Glenn Michael Roberts lost a two-month fight with leukemia. To the students, particularly to the 1961 Senior Class, to which he belonged, this came as a heavy loss. Glenn was cheerful, kind, helpful, and friendly. His presence will be missed in all the activities in which he took part. At Murray High School, he was a member of the Band, serving as Drum Major his Junior year; Pep Club, 4-H Club, FTA, Hi-Y Club, FFA, French Club and Football team. He was also a member of the Holly Creek Baptist Church.
